Orkies' Journal 16 June 1971June 16, 1971 From our base camp at Rungwa, we have now set out to the awesome,
trackless jungle. The going will be slower now as we must hack our way
through the dense foliage which closes in from everywhere. We are
headed for Tabora and the trading post of one Sigmund "Wrong Way"
Schultz who set out in 1943 from Tunis with a message from the great
eneral Rommel to his commander, von Arnim, giving him instructions re:
the Bizerte campaign, ("shtay avay from there"); Simund was told to
turn left at a certain Djebel but he went right and wound upat Tabora
- worse luck for von Arnim but not bad for Simund.
