Having finally reached Zanzibar and sitting at quarantine anchorage
since the fall of '73, our crews are growing weary of waiting,
especially in view of the fact that the oil shortage, which struck the
regions earier than the rest of the world, made their return from the
interior painfully slow. Daily negotiations are going on to have our
quarantine lifted. The condition of the cargo meantime is just right,
each ephemera waracatchafrumae being just mellowly aged to the right
degree of delectability. The progress being made with the Zanzibarian
customs officials shows great promise and I hope to have the good news
of our release to you in jolly short order.
Regards,
Orkie
