Time webpages

As a substitute teacher at the local middle school I found it convenient to have a clock and a countdown timer on my chromebook. The school has no bells at the end of classes, and room clocks can be off by several minutes (or more). I founf good ones online that I had been using, but suddenly a couple weeks ago the clock started displaying multiple popup ads I would have to delete before using. As a result I decided to use my unassigned times to write my own. I did, and since I had the machinery also added a countdown timer and a stopwatch, and a bunch of bells and whistles. So here they are.

The design idea was to make the text as large as possible, with no distractions. They are online for anyone to use, and the code is available for redistribution or modification. Here they are:

• clock: a simple clock, with alarm functionality


• countdown: a countdown timer, enter a time and it will count down the hours, minutes, and seconds remaining


• stopwatch: a simple stopwatch, starts at 0 and counts up until stopped


• timer: Set a time and the timer counts down to 0, setting off an alarm when time expires
