Great Cultural Rennaisance

At some point through our antique dealer we found a guy who made xipiqi boxes. Xipiqi is a lost art, a way of making a mottled enamel coating. We contracted to buy the whole output, dozens of poxes, and made the web site Great Cultural Rennaissance to see about selling them. We also found a source for yundiao boxes, another art where multiple layers of different color lacquers are put on an item, which is then carved to expose the lower layers. We kept the site up for several years with no sales (and not a heck of a lot of views either), and finally gave up and surrendered the url. The code is still available here
